On June 25, 2013, Vise Prime Minister of Ukraine Yuriy Boyko visited the Republic of Turkey to take part in the 9th meeting of the Intergovernmental Ukrainian-Turkish Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation.
During the visit, the Vise Prime Minister of Ukraine also had meetings with Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of the Republic of Turkey Taner Yıldız and Minister of Transport, Navigation and Communications of the Republic of Turkey Binali Yıldırım.
At the meetings and negotiations of the representatives of the Ukrainian and Turkish Governments the sides discussed all issues of the Ukrainian-Turkish cooperation in the sphere of trade and economy. The main attention was paid to the process of preparing bilateral Free Trade Agreement, participation of Ukraine in the large-scale infrastructural projects on the Turkish territory, enhancing cooperation in the field of transport, first of all by taking part in the projects of combined railroad transportation “Viking” and “Zubr”. The sides also discussed ways of cooperation in the sphere of aircraft construction, namely creating of a joint regional plane, and prospects of further cooperation in the field of energy.
Finalizing the meeting of the Commission under co-chairmanship of Vise Prime Minister of Ukraine Yuriy Boyko and Vise Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkey Ali Babacan the sides signed respective protocol.
