1. Russia continues to shell the Ukrainian territory with artillery, mortars and Multiple Launch Rocket Systems BM-21 ("Grad").

 

On July 19, the forces of the National Guard of Ukraine were shelled with artillery from the village of Avilo-Uspenka (Russia).

 

On July 19, the Ukrainian Army units were fired with Multiple Launch Rocket Systems BM-21 ("Grad") from the village of Leninskyy (Rostov oblast, Russia).

 

On July 19, the Ukrainian Army units were shelled with artillery, mortars and 3 multiple Launch Rocket Systems BM-21 ("Grad") from the village of Novaya Nadezhda (Russia).

 

On July 20, the Ukrainian Army’s positions near the village of Ilyinka were repeatedly shelled with mortars and artillery from the territory of the Russian Federation.

 

On July 20, 35 Russian militants were taken captive in the attempted breakthrough from Lysychansk. Most of the militants are Russian citizens.

 

On July 21, Ukrainian Army units were shelled with mortars near the villages of Novoazovsk and Kumacheve (Donetsk oblast) from the Russian territory.

 

Around the midnight on July 21, Ukrainian border guards in Luhansk oblast were shelled with more than 40 mortar rounds from the territory of the Russian Federation.

 

On July 22, Ukrainian border checkpoint Dovzhanskyy (Luhansk oblast) was fired with artillery from the territory of the Russian Federation.

 

On July 22, the forces of the National Guard of Ukraine were shelled near the town of Novoazovsk (Donetsk oblast) from the territory of the Russian Federation.

 

On July 22, Ukrainian Army units near the village of Dibrivka were shelled with artillery from Russian territory.

 

At 10:10 p.m. on July 22, the town of Amvrosiyivka was shelled with artillery from the Russian Federation.

 

On July 22, Ukrainian border guards witnessed multiple Launch Rocket System BM-21 ("Grad") firing from the Russian territory at the village of Herasymivka.

 

At 2:15 a.m. on July 23, border checkpoint "Uspenka" was shelled with artillery from Russia.

 

At 3:00 a.m. on July 23, Ukrainian Army units near the town of Chervonopartyzansk were shelled with Multiple Launch Rocket System BM-21 ("Grad") from Russia.

 

2. Ukraine constantly records violations of the Ukrainian airspace by Russian helicopters and drones (UAVs).

 

On July 16, the Russian UAVs carried out aerial reconnaissance in the northern part of the Luhansk oblast.

 

At 11:20 a.m. on July 17, Ukrainian border guards near the village of Illinka (Luhansk oblast) saw 4 Russian helicopters (2 Mi-8 and 2 Mi-24) flying over the territory of Ukraine.

 

At 6:35 a.m. on July 18, 3 Russian helicopters violated the Ukrainian airspace near the village of Oleksandrivka (Luhansk oblast).

 

At 11.05 p.m. on July 21, 2 Russian helicopters violated the Ukrainian airspace in the area of the border guard division “Krasna Talivka”, Luhansk oblast.

 

Late in the evening on July 22, Russian helicopter KA-52 violated the Ukrainian airspace at least twice.

 

3. Russia continues to concentrate its troops and heavy weaponry near the border with Ukraine. The number of provocations on the border has significantly increased.

 

According to the available information, 28 battalion tactical groups (BTG) and 5 company tactical groups (more than 40.000 troops) of the Russian Armed Forces have been concentrated on Eastern borders of Ukraine. More than 22.000 troops have been deployed on the temporarily occupied territory of the Crimea.

 

Russian battalion tactical group consists of approximately 500 infantry troops, 10 tanks, 30 APC, 30 pieces of artillery, 7 Multiple Launch Rocket System BM-21 “Grad”.    

 

Clear facts of continuing concentration of Russian military units on eastern border of Ukraine (during recent week):

 

A field camp of Russian Armed Forces was established in the Russian town Kruglenke (Kursk region). Military units of the 32nd Infantry Brigade and the 24th Special Task Brigade of GRU (Russian Military Intelligence) from Novosibirsk Oblast as well as of the 56th Engineering and Sapper Regiment from the Russia’s Republic of Tatarstan had been located there.

 

Additional BTGs of the 32nd and 35th Independent Motor Rifle Brigades and artillery unit of 120th artillery brigade were deployed nearby Klimovo and Starodub (Bryansk region).

 

BTG of the 31st Air Assault Brigade was deployed in Khomutovka (Kursk region).

 

BTG of the 15th Independent Motor Rifle Brigade was deployed on the Ukrainian-Russian border nearby Kharkiv region of Ukraine.

 

Two companies of BTG of the 7th Air Assault Division were deployed nearby Matvieyev Kurgan and Vesolo-Voznesensk border check-points (Rostov region).
