Protests in Turkey against the oppression of human rights in Crimea

December 10, 2014 – in the World's Human Rights Day hundred representatives of the Crimean Tatar’s diaspora in Turkey, as well as representatives of the Ukrainian community who specifically came from many regions, held protests against policies of the occupation administration in the Crimea in front of the buildings of the Russian Embassy in Ankara and the Consulate General of Russia in Istanbul

During the protests the representatives of the Crimean Tatar Association of Culture and Mutual Aid (Ankara and Istanbul) released a statement in which condemned the Russian occupation of Crimea and systematic human rights violations in the temporary occupied territory. They emphasised their support for the territorial integrity of Ukraine, expressed the request to the Russian side to stop the repression of ethnic Tatars and other citizens of Ukraine.
