On October, 7th, 2015 the Public Administration Institute for Turkey and Middle East (TODAIE) hosted a panel on the “Current Situation in Ukraine and Its Implications for the Regional Security”, as a part of its traditional “Wednesday Conference Series”. 

In his remarks, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine H.E. S.Korsunsky stressed the geostrategic and security dimensions of the nuclear energy, gas pipeline projects and new generation technologies in the modern world. Dr. Hanna Shelest, curator of the “UkrainianPeace-building School” in her presentation discussed new challenges for the information security in the XXI century using Ukrainian crisis as a recent case-study, and dwelled upon the questions of propaganda, fake news and manipulation of public opinion used as effective tools to reach political goals.
