The sixth meeting of the Ukrainian-Turkish Strategic Planning Group co-chaired by the Ministers for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and Turkey will be held in Ankara

Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin will pay an official visit to Turkey on March 29-31, 2018. The main purpose of the visit is to hold the sixth meeting of the Joint Strategic Planning Group – a bilateral body within the framework of the strategic partnership mechanism between the two countries. The Groups meeting is a preparatory stage to the 7th meeting of Ukraine –Turkey High Level Strategic Council co-chaired by the presidents of the two states.

During negotiations, the Ministers will discuss a wide range of issues of practical cooperation between Ukraine and Turkey as well as regional and international affairs, including the interaction within the international organizations. Special attention will be paid to the latest developments in Donbas and Crimea, in particular the consolidation of efforts in order to protect the rights of Crimean Tatars.

Minister Klimkin will also have a number of high-level meetings and take part in the screening of the film Cyborgs: Heroes Never Die, as well as in the opening ceremony of the office of the Ukrainian Community.
