On February 29 – March 2, 2012, a Turkish delegation headed by the First Deputy Minister for Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey Özgür Özaslan paid a visit to the Crimea in order to participate in theXXI Internationalexhibition “Crimea. Resorts. Tourism – 2012” and the 1st Black Sea Forum for Development of Tourism. In the framework of this Forum, Özgür Özaslan delivered a speech entitled “Possibilities of cooperation in the Black Sea region for the development of the tourism”. Also, the Turkish delegation met with the First Vice-President of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of the Crimea Georgiy Psaryov and discussed issues of interregional cooperation between Ukraine and Turkey, in particular possibilities of increasing in the nearest future tourist flows from Turkey to the Crimean peninsula and the ways to achieve set bilateral objectives.
Moreover, on February 27 – March 2, 2012, 25 representatives of leading travel agencies of Turkey paid a visit to the Crimea to participate in the info tour organized by the Ministry of Tourism and Resorts of the Crimea in order to get acquainted with recreational and tourism opportunities of the peninsula. During this visit, the representatives of the Turkish Side visited a number of recreational facilities in the Crimea.
