This week, the Russian Forces and Moscow-controlled terrorists in the south-eastern area of Ukraine continued to shell the Ukrainian Forces’ positions as well as towns and villages. The occupants opened fire from tanks, 152 mm artillery guns and other weapons prohibited by the Minsk Agreements.
In this regard we once again state that Russia and Moscow-controlled militants bear full responsibility for the latest escalation of violence in the south-east of Ukraine and difficult humanitarian situation there.
Despite Moscow’s commitments to withdraw heavy weapons from the Line of Contact, the Russian Forces and Moscow-controlled terrorists continued to open fire from multiple-launch rocket systems “Grad” aiming at residential areas of town of Avdiyivka and the Ukrainian Forces’ positions near the town.
By placing their “Grads” close to residential areas of the occupied towns and villages as well as city of Donetsk the Russian Forces use local civilians as “human shield”.
The deliberate shelling of residential areas by the Russian Forces is another war crime committed by Moscow. Sooner or later, those who commit and order to commit such crimes will be held responsible.
Total neglect for human lives and using local civilian population as “human shield” as well as barbarian shelling of Ukrainian cities, towns and villages are typical for Russia’s behavior in its aggressive policy against Ukraine.
We are grateful to the Turkish side and all other international partners of our country who support sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
